Professor Kamil Idris is a unique individual who has created a positive impact on the economic and management of intellectual capacity. He was born in Sudan on August 26, 1954.Despite being from a humble background in Africa, Professor Kamil Idris has held high portfolios across the world in organizations such as United Nations and World Intellectual Property Organization also known as WIPO. During his time as a representative of Sudan in the United Nations, he was elected to become the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization a position he held from 1997 to 2008. Besides,he has held other roles in teaching positions such as international law and the intellectual property law. On top of that, he was a member of the United Nations International Law Commission. During the recently concluded presidential election in Sudan, he tried his chance of becoming the president as an independent candidate, but he was not successful.
Professor Kamil Idris is also an established author, and in the process, he has several books tackling aspects such as economic growth, personal memoir, and intellectual property. His success in heading the organizations and authoring books can be attributed to his high-level education such as honorary doctorate law from more than 15 universities across the globe. One of the masterpiece book authored by Professor Kamil Idris is used as the reference guide on the intellectual property law. Recently, Kamil Idris wrote an article detailing how the world is on the edge of experiencing world war three. In his article, he attributes the new US law as the possible trigger of the world war three. The new US law provides any American citizens with the power to sue any country that has links with terrorists, and there is sufficient evidence. However, despite the former president distancing himself from the law it still passed in late 2016. According to Professor Idris, one of the crucial principles of international law is the immunity a nation has against any lawsuits in the courts of another country. However, the new US law aims at threatening the principle of protection. Across the globe, different leaders have condemned the new US law warning it will be detrimental for the world to achieve the elusive unity and peace.
